Frequently, when a staff member mentions that a patient should start skin care, a remarkable Pavlovian response occurs as the patient's eyes start to glaze over. Skin care is not sexy, and the wrong skin care products are a waste of time and money. However, Dr. Reddy and we have discovered that the correct skin care provides cost-effective improvement. Proper skin care can be used alone or in conjunction with one of our laser or surgical procedures to help provide the natural look you want. The woman that we use for our example for the Face Lift section of the website is Shirley Hamlin. Shirley came to us ten years ago as a patient, and has remained with us since then as a patient care coordinator. Many patients remark that she looks better now then she did in the after picture. This is because after she joined the practice she started Obagi on a regular basis. When I started dating my current fiance who spends considerable time in the sun, I suggested that she start using Obagi and everyone around her noticed that: 1) The sun damaged was being reversed. 2) The texture and tone of her skin was improving. For older patients and patients in the sun alot, we recommend Obagi with the most effective products in the system being the following: 1) Obagi Clear 2) Obagi Blender 3) A good sunscreen - Ti-Silc works well. 4) Retin A - A script can be written for you. For younger patients and those who just wish to maintain their skin, Vivite from Allergan (who also markets Botox and Juvederm) works well. The skin care lines can be purchased through several doctors' offices throughout the area. Wherever you pick up the products, we would suggest that you use them and start noticing the difference.

We would recommend that you ensure that your surgeon of choice is board certified by the  American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a member of Amerian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and is in good standing with the state Department of Heath.  More experienced surgeons will also be either Fellow of American College of Surgeons and/or Fellow of International College of Surgeons.  Dr. Reddy has all these credentials.
