Saline implants utilize a salt water solution which is very close to the saline found naturally throughout the body. These implants are allowed for breast augmentation patients who are 18 years or older. These implants are a great choice at a lower cost than gel implants.

Gel implants utilize a safe, cohesive silicone gel which was reintroduced on the market after over 10 million worldwide were studied. Women generally prefer the feel of gel implants as they feel more like natural breast tissue. Gel implants are generally reserved for women 22 years or older (although there are a few exceptions).
