"I went to Dr. Reddy for a breast augmentation and liposuction. My experience with him was very positive. I have since recommended him to my mother who also had breast implants and one of my friends who has since went to him for liposuction. All were very pleased. I am now gonna go back for some liposuction of my neck and fat injections. My experience with Dr. Reddy has a very good one."

Dr. Kris Reddy FACS: Expert of Liposuction in West Palm Beach
Sometimes, all the diet and exercise in the world can still leave you with parts of your body that hold too much fat. If so, liposuction might be your solution. Although no substitute for dieting and exercise, West Palm Beach liposuction patients opt for liposuction to remove stubborn areas of fat that don't respond to traditional weight-loss methods in order to create a more streamlined silhouette. West Palm Beach liposuction patients seek to slim and reshape specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits, improving body contours and proportion, and ultimately enhancing self-image. If done properly, West Palm Beach liposuction patients find that liposuction can dramatically improve appearance even if it leads to only a small amount of weight loss.
Dr. Kris Reddy FACS, West Palm Beach board certified plastic surgeon, is a West Palm Beach liposuction expert. Dr. Reddy has the rare double honor of being a Fellow of American and International College of Surgeons, the only cosmetic surgeon in Palm Beach County, Florida to hold both of these prestigious honors. Dr. Reddy is also a member of the exclusive American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Reddy, West Palm Beach Body Contouring expert, also performs coolsculpting for nonsurgical fat reduction.
The Basics – West Palm Beach Liposuction
Liposuction is a proven body contouring technique that can help women and men look their best and love the body they're in. Dr. Reddy’s liposuction patients enjoy many benefits:
Improved appearance with a slimmer and smoother body contour
Decreased body fat
Enhanced body image, helping you feel more comfortable in revealing outfits
Ability to treat almost any area where unwanted fat exists
Some people think liposuction is a way to lose weight, but this is not the case. As Dr. Reddy tells many of the people who come to his office to consult regarding liposuction in West Palm Beach, the liposuction procedure is meant to improve body shape, not substitute for a healthful diet. Patients who are healthy overall are the ideal candidates, and are most likely to enjoy their results for the long-term.
Dr. Kris Reddy FACS, board certified plastic surgeon and West Palm Beach liposuction expert, frequently utilizes the liposuction procedure to contour areas, including:
Liposuction can be combined with other cosmetic surgery procedures. Many women choose liposuction as part of their mommy makeover procedures, which combines body contouring and breast enhancement procedures. Liposuction also can help improve the results of an arm lift, tummy tuck or breast enhancement.
Your Liposuction Procedure - Your New Look
Dr. Reddy performs liposuction surgery as an outpatient procedure at the West Palm Beach Plastic Surgery Center, Dr. Reddy's AAAASF nationally accredited operating center utilizing MD Anesthesiologists providing local anesthesia, iv sedation, or general anesthesia depending on the patient's health, expectations, goals, and preferences. During the liposuction surgery, Dr. Reddy uses a medical device known as a "cannula." to break up and remove fat. This long surgical wand is able to separate fat from adjacent tissue and suction it out. The duration of your liposuction surgery varies depending on the amount to be removed, the number of area to liposuction, and the quality of the fat tissue. Typically, the surgery is between 2 to 4 hours.
After liposuction surgery, you will be wearing a compression garment, which should be worn day and night for the first week then daily for 3-4 weeks to reduce swelling and ensure proper healing. Most patients experience moderate discomfort, especially in the second 24 hours after surgery when the anesthesia wears off. This is usually relieved with prescription pain medicine. You can return to non-strenuous work 1-2 weeks after liposuction surgery depending on the number of areas treated.
Liposuction and Weight Loss
Liposuction is not a substitute for proper diet and exercise. Patients with a BMI of 30 or less tend to have greater satisfaction with the results.
Patients will not lose significant weight post liposuction surgery. 1000 cc's of fat weighs approximately 2 pounds.
West Palm Beach Chin Liposuction
With the popularization of the selfie, Dr. Kris Reddy FACS is increasingly being requested to improve the contour of neck line or to correct the “Double Chin.” Dr. Reddy is able to improve the profile of many patients using a relatively simple technique that can both contour the jawline and tighten the skin at the same time. Until recently, “experts” might have told patients that in order to remove jowls a facelift was necessary – and sometimes it still is, but NOT all of the time. A facelift takes hours to perform nicely and involves significant down time, whereas a liposuction procedure on the chin or neck and the recovery time is considerably shorter
Chin Liposuction (also called submental liposuction) is designed to reduce excess fat under the chin, or in the neck, and jowls. These fat collections are often not metabolized easily with diet and exercise, and thus rarely improve with weight loss. Subplatysmal fat is especially stubborn and can be prevalent in your neck regardless of your overall body weight. Sometimes eliminating your double chin requires a little extra help.
West Palm Beach Liposuction Revision
Dr. Kris Reddy FACS, West Palm Beach Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, is frequently asked to revise liposuction performed by other surgeons. Dr. Reddy needs to correct complications from a previous liposuction procedure, such as asymmetries, indentations, and scarring. There are some cases where the damage is too great and revision liposuction can't be performed.

Frequently Asked Questions: Liposuction in West Palm Beach
Question: What is the goal of liposuction?
Answer: Let’s start with the question about results: Liposuction is designed to enhance overall shape and contour by targeting specific “problem” areas.
Question: What are the most common areas for liposuction?
Answer: Liposuction is most commonly performed on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, hip rolls, and back; it can also be performed effectively on the lower legs, chin/neck line, and arms.
Question: If I gain weight, will the fat return to other areas?
Answer: Yes. Moreover, significant weight gain may affect the results where liposuction was performed.
Liposuction is an excellent modality to target problem areas but is not a permanent solution to undesirable weight. Patients who have the best liposuction results maintain a healthy lifestyle with proper exercise and eating habits before and after surgery. Maintaining post-surgery weight is key to long-term results.
Question: What level of fat do you remove with liposuction?
Answer: Any surgeon including Dr. Reddy utilizes liposuction to treat the subcutaneous fat (which is the stubborn fat immediately below the skin). For optimal appearance, a patient must maintain proper diet and exercise in order to limit the visceral fat.
Question: Will I need to wear a special garment post surgery?
Answer: Yes. We typically recommend that patients wear a surgical compression garment per Dr. Reddy’s recommendation which will be based on the scope of the surgery and the specifics about you. Typically, a patient will wear a garment for 4 – 6 weeks although the amount of time during the day that a patient wears the garment will decrease over time. Garment-wearing helps decrease swelling and allow the skin to lay flat on the body.
Question: Is liposuction a weight loss procedure?
Answer: No, liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. Moreover, liposuction is not a substitute for proper diet and exercise. Patients with a BMI of 30 or less tend to have greater satisfaction with the results. The intent of liposuction is remove pockets of fat in order to improve the shape and contours of the body. Patients frequently remark after liposuction that their bodies look better and there clothes fit better.
Patients will not lose significant weight post liposuction surgery. 1000 cc's of fat weighs approximately 2 pounds.
Questions: Does liposuction address cellulite?
Answer: It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite.
Question: Will I get smooth and slender results that my friends have had with liposuction?
Answer: The liposuction procedure will improve your contours. However, you may not get the result that you wish if you have significant visceral fat (deeper fat that surrounds the organs). To get the best possible results, Dr. Reddy may advise you to reduce the visceral fat through diet and exercise before surgery. However, you will need to continue to keep the visceral fat down.
Question: What is the ideal weight for liposuction?
Answer: Patients with a BMI of 30 or less tend to have higher patient happiness with liposuction and lower risks with the procedure.
Question: How does Dr. Reddy's approach to liposuction compare to other centers that perform liposuction?
Answer: Dr. Reddy believes that the primary goal of liposuction is not just about eliminating the unwanted fat, but more importantly, the goal is to sculpt areas to create a smoother and more balanced appearance.
Question: How long does swelling last post liposuction?
Answer: 70% of the swelling subside after 4 weeks. Some swelling may persist for months. To limit swelling after liposuction, arnica pills are often advised before and after liposuction.
Question: Am I candidate for a full abdominoplasty, a mini tummy tuck, or liposuction?
Answer: If a patient seeks to address loose skin, then he/she typically opts for either a full abdominoplasty or a mini tummy tuck. If there is a lot of loose skin (and is both above and below the belly button) that you need to have removed, Dr. Reddy will probably need to perform a full abdominoplasty.
If the skin is limited in amount and the loose skin is below the belly button, then Dr. Reddy may be able to perform a mini tummy tuck. Most patients prefer a mini tummy tuck due to a reduced scar (a scar about the length of a C-section).
If there is too much fat, then liposuction can be combined with the removal of skin – a very common situation.
If the muscles are separated, then some sort of tummy tuck with muscle repair is needed, however the incision can be short or long depending on the amount of loose skin.
